Third day , 3 sales executives from Utkal Auto (dealership) came to my home and tried to convince and console me. Now they said it was thoer mistake it would take 4 months to deliver a black scorpio Lx model. This was insane it was the day I should having my vehicle delivered to me.
They came with silver colored Scorpio and they tried to sell it to me. You know when you buy something out of passion and not because you need - color was important to me , so rejected it.
Then they tried to convince like they had production problem etc blah, blah ... Then asked to take test drive of Xylo. I was pissed upto to my brains but maintained my cool .
next day called the Mahindra sales manager, gave him a choice , that I can go for the LX and SLE model but only black color. He then replied that it was avaiable within 30 days and my delivery date will be around 26- 28 August. Got a mail confirming that from him. The dealers had never booked a Black LX model Scorpio before, they just bluffed
Important lessons learnt
1. You have to pay only 5000 Rs as a booking charging , dont got for the amount the dealers ask
2. You get the order number they get from the Mahindra plant along with delivery date , dont go by their word.
Will update once I get the vehicle, will also try to update about the vehicle

Second day of Lodging complaint - Mahindra Auto
Yesterday after the discussion with their Sales manager , lodged a complaint regarding the service of the dealer. Got replies in my mail assuring swift action.
Now at 12.34 pm still waiting for some responses, will update my experience as it unfolds.

Problem with the Mahindra Scorpio dealer Jamshedpur
Anand Mahindra is on Tweeter promoting his group - he is a single man army, I think. But what about his colleagues are they upto his standards - I dont know.
I went to book a Scorpio from Jamshedpur 19 june 2010 , I was asked by the dealer's agent not to book one because they don't know the delivery date, he said will call once gets the update. He never did , so I called him . He asked to come and book the vehicle, you must know this , their showroom is in Adityapur , outskirts of Jamshedpur and roads are so bad, like 30 years back. Ok I took a vehicle from my friend and went there and booked , this was my third visit.
Delivery date was said to be 22 july 2010 . I used follow up every week for an update and was informed that delivery was on schedule. Then when I called on 20 th july , the guy says that it will take upto 29 th july. Answer was The vehicle was in transit and it will take another 10 days to reach Jamshedpur from pune plant, I also work in manufacturing industry , I know how many days it takes to cover this distance only 4-5 days .
Then after contacting their regional sales manager, his no was found after 5 hours of search and phone calls , this sales guy called again and informed that they don't know the delivery date yet.
This is the situation till today . I have attached file containing phone numbers of the Mahindra regional Office Manager, I hope it would be helpful for people like me.

Why did I Chose Mahindra Scorpio
I was posted in Dubai , UAE for 6 months in 2010, there we can buy a Mitsubishi Pajero for around 10- 11 lakh Indian rupee . It has got the same power as Scorpio and almost same features . In India the same Pajero cost around 18 lakhs, since the duties and stuff and where is value for money. We can buy a Scorpio for around 8- 11 lakh depending upon the version and with good servicing network.
Be Indian and buy Indian is not just a emotional words , they mean profit to us . Even compared to Ford endeavor it has got almost the same power as scorpio, why should we pay more get the same.
